POSITION PURPOSE
- Answer incoming calls and greet visitors.
- General office management tasks.
- Support sales team with administrative and clerical support.
- Make a positive contribution to the overall success of the Cross Employee Benefits team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Front desk duties including switchboard, conference room, office supplies and vendor relationships.
Processing vendor invoices.
Reviewing, Submitting & Tracking check requests & expenses.
Obtaining and distributing mail.
Filing / Copying / Scanning.
Maintains office equipment and service requests.
Manage and order office supplies as needed.
Assist in onboarding new employees.
Schedule carrier meetings.
Assist with event planning.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to client service standards of the department and agency.
Perform other tasks or projects as needed/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

1. High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year experience in an administrative role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in employee benefit insurance and knowledge of insurance terminology highly desirable.
2. Professional appearance and habits.
3. High level of patience and empathy while working under pressure.
4. Expert knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and office technology preferred, intermediate working knowledge required.
5. Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsive and self-motivated.
6. Ability to prioritize daily tasks.
7. Team player and task orientated.
8. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
9. Strong problem-solving skills and forward thinking.
10. Possesses a bias for action and avoids workplace distractions.
