WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for an optimistic, curious, analytic, trend savvy Merchant, ideally with retail, MPU and/or Geo experience, that has deep understanding of the Outdoor and Skateboard consumer, competition and the marketplace’s ever changing dynamics, bringing a deep sense of critical thinking, vision, operation and teamwork, with high standards as core qualities.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON:
As a Merch Lead for Global M’s Footwear Lifestyle ACG & Nike SB, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities as part of the Global Team that brings the CFoP Strategy, Product Line Plan and Consumer Relevant Assortments to life.
You will closely work with each Global CFoP (ACG & Nike SB) General Manager, and will cross functionally collaborate with Product, Design, Brand, Apparel and Geos to build and manage global 3-year line plans, product journeys and seasonal strategies to help Nike ACG & Nike SB gain market share and take a leadership position, on each segment worldwide.
Key accountabilities:
- Partner cross functionally to deliver long-term footwear strategies, line and pricing architecture, and franchises journeys for Nike ACG and Nike SB.
- Create seasonal merchandising strategies, leading with Nike performance innovation and heritage, driving alignment on key business drivers, and support both global and hyper-local moments.
- Connect and integrate footwear and apparel stories and flow, harmonizing segmentation/differentiation opportunities.
- Analyze and obsess the performance and efficiency of both Nike ACG and Nike SB across the board. Align x-gender and x-functionally on action plans to ensure progress toward growth strategies and targets.
- Be the voice of the Geographies into the line plan and product creation process through harmonized insights, growth opportunities and market capacity.
- In partnership with Product and Design, co-create profitable and productive seasonal line plans that serve the consumer across the global marketplace.
- Prepare for and own key seasonal meetings based on Consumer Code.
Who you will work with:
As a Global Merch Lead, you will report directly to the Merchandising Director of Men’s Footwear Lifestyle (Classics). Within the direct team, you will closely interact, and ultimately would own the franchises line plan and journeys. It is imperative that you foster positive relationships with your Merchandising teammates and other cross-functional teams and seek for integration and alignment across everything we do.
With regularity, you will be balancing your interactions with Product creation while simultaneously covering the business needs of the Global Marketplace and Geo Merchandising teams. Demand and Supply planning also are valuable partners for you in bringing the business science to life.
Nike ACG & Nike SB Footwear bring a lot of high-profile products to market throughout the year. As a result, building and maintaining a positive relationship with each CFoP GM, Global Product Leads, Brand, Demand Planing and Geo Teams will be critical.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Marketing or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Merchandising, Product Management, Marketplace, Buying or integrated retail related roles.
- Consumer-centric mentality and strong merchandising acumen.
- Deep knowledge of the outdoor scene, skateboard and sneaker culture.
- Take initiative, proficient information seeking skills, and a drive for results.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including presentations to various cross-functional partners.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to influence, empower, lead and negotiate across various functions.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and seasons.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications including Keynote, Word and Excel
- Ability to travel (internationally) up to 10% of the time
