Key Responsibilities
Supervises Staff
- Supervise a team of nuclear security technicians responsible for security administration and physical security monitoring of PGE’s Trojan Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI).
- Provide daily supervision to ensure all relevant standards/procedures are followed.
- Assist ISFSI Security Manager in coordinating activities related to emergency planning, radiation protection, and maintenance.
Incident Response/Emergency Coordination
- Ensure appropriate assessment, corrective, and protective measures are taken during incidents.
- Augment resources as necessary and communicate with local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Serve as emergency coordinator in the absence of ISFSI Security Manager.
Safety Leadership
- Promote and enforce safety and protection practices consistently.
Licensing
- Prepare changes to ISFSI licensing documents, policies, programs, and implementing procedures for compliance and personnel safety.
Financial Management
- Monitor and manage expenditures to meet financial targets and address variances from the plan.
Resourcing
- Implement resourcing decisions and planning for the team, partnering with HR for job definitions, recruitment, evaluation, and selection processes.
Professional Development
- Maintain knowledge of skill-development tools/resources.
- Advise on learning or development outcomes, assist employees in creating development plans, and monitor progress.
Education/Experience/Certifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Five years of nuclear security experience or equivalent security supervisory experience.
- Certifications, Licenses, and Training: Must obtain certification as an ISFSI Specialist at or within 2 years of hire. Must obtain and maintain annual weapons requalification.
- Other: Must be 21 years of age or older.

- Knowledge of federal and state regulations applicable to ISFSI reporting, radiation protection, security, quality assurance, and emergency planning.
- Understanding of personnel safety, maintenance, QA records, and decommissioning records.
- Familiarity with procurement, receiving, and contract administration.
- Knowledge of company policies, objectives, procedures, and ISFSI operations.
- Ability to plan and execute program-related activities, establish effective working relationships, and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and applying policies and regulations.
- Skills in using and maintaining firearms and passing annual firearms qualifications.

Compensation Range:
$87,225.00 - $145,375.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
