In this role we are looking for a person with the following abilities:

Be creative and a technical problem-solver. i.e.: capable of isolating and resolving database issues in real-time to maintain access and data integrity.

Willingness to learn multiple database software and take advantage of ongoing upskilling programs. (ie. Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)

Required technical skills

Installation and maintenance of the performance of database servers.

Preferred experience

AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

Building and supporting PostgreSQL and Snowflake that balance the need for speed, flexibility, and security of database and supporting infrastructure.

Prefer experience with Microservices.

Oracle Golden Gate replication. For example, be able to configure and maintain Golden Gate replication without any data loss.

Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

Microsoft SQL Always-On.
Job Function
Database Design and Administration Administers database utilities, manages the security of the databases, and maintains the organization's databases across multiple platforms and computing environments. Applies understanding of relational database concepts and query languages to design required summary or aggregation tables to support analyses. Collaborates with technology/infrastructure staff to identify data relationships and functional requirements; analyzes and resolves issues related to information flow and content. Maintains database support tools, database tables and dictionaries and recovery and back-up procedures.

Database Administration (DBAD) Uses database management system software and tools and knowledge of logical database schemata to investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports. Carries out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products.

Database Management (DATM) Takes responsibility for the accessibility, retrievability and security of specific subsets of data. Assesses the integrity of data from multiple sources (including, for example, from sensors’ measurement systems). Provides advice on the transformation of data/information from one format/medium to another where appropriate. Maintains and implements information-handling procedures. Enables the availability, integrity and searchability of information through the application of formal data structures and protection measures. Manipulates specific data from information services to satisfy local or specific information needs.

Compensation Range:
$96,300.00 - $189,875.00Actual total compensation, including a performance based incentive bonus, is commensurate with experience, skills, qualifications, education, training, and internal equity. While we anticipate the selected candidate for this position will fall towards the middle or entry point of the compensation range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis.
